Please submit an essay of about 500 to 750 words that connects your media consumption to a concept we've discussed in class.

Select an ethical news value from the list on pages 34-35 in Chapter 2 of the Patterson & Wilkins textbook. 

In composing the essay, you should describe/define the ethical news value and cite a significant example of how it is playing out in the public sphere. Discuss how individual journalists or news organizations or other parties are dealing with the challenges presented by the ethical news value. Explain how you would resolve those challenges from an ethical reasoning perspective. Alternatively, you may critique how the journalists and/or news organizations dealt with the situation.

Please provide a Works Cited page and/or a list of hyperlinks to the specific articles, videos, etc., that you rely on as the basis of your essay.
