Rewrite a Story

Working in the linea ge of recollection, rewrite a myth, folk tale, or fairy tale. Conduct research into the origins of a particular story, and reconsider that narrative for the present day. Your work should display a clear understanding of this narrative’s roots, how it has adapted over time, and how its core themes and intentions may be reconfigured in order to relate to the present day and the issues of our times.

 Include at least one aphorism, and properly employ at least three of the new words you've collected in your notebook. 

Your annotated bibliography should contain at least five sources cited in Chicago Manual Style.  No more than two may be Internet sources, and you may not use Wikipedia. Follow each citation with a few sentences (50 words) summarizing the text you read and stating which elements from this text you incorporated into your story.
