Online Instructors and the Implementation of Workload Management Strategies
The purpose of this case study will be to explore the views of experienced online instructors on the implementation of workload management strategies identified by Crews, Wilkinson, Hemby, McCannon, and Weidmaier (2008) in the faculty-related categories of course authoring, teaching, and course revision and improvement. This study proposes to explore online instructor’s views in order to gain a description of workload management strategies and to find out why and how they implement the strategies for workload management and to identify the level of skill faculty need to manage workload according to the instructors.
