Nursing 4020, Leadership Theory Paper

For this Application Assignment, write a 2- to 3-page paper discussing your leadership assessment results and applying them to your nursing practice. Identify an individual whom you consider to be an effective leader and discuss the specific characteristics you see in this individual that supports your selection of him/her as an effective leader.

Using your leadership assessment results as a guideline, include in your summary any strengths or characteristics you have in common with the leader you selected. Also, include how your identified strengths demonstrate mastery of ANA’s Nursing: Scope & Standards of Practice, Standards of Professional Performance, Standard 12: Leadership as evidenced in your nursing practice.

Use the following guidelines, evaluation criteria, and the headings below for each section. Use a minimum of three references from the professional nursing literature in the assigned course readings and other references in the Walden Library. If they are relevant, you may use one or two professional websites in addition to the literature references.
