Part 1

Write a 4 - 5 page (750-1000 words) paper on the following topic. Support your information using peer-reviewed or scholarly journals.  Follow APA format and attach as a Microsoft Word document. 
Using the concepts discussed in Chapter 6 of your text book, explore the various types of market segmentation strategies and discuss the hierarchy of segmentation alternatives. Include at least one study that demonstrates the use of segmentation strategies in the healthcare or in a health-related topic.

In recent years, there has been a growing attempt to measure the performance of healthcare providers. For example, the federal government and the states have been published data on how hospitals are compared to acceptable clinical standards with regard to pneumonia. Explain how these data could affect the consumer decision-making process.
