Assignment – Read paragraph below and answer the questions in a two page essay

1. Describe the federal government's economic policy-making role and how economic performance is measured, then distinguish between fiscal and monetary policy as ways to deal with economic crises such as inflation and unemployment. This should be especially interesting to write and reflect on after the events of the last few weeks.

Using what you've read in your text and in the slides, for this assignment, you'll do some outside research on a President of your choice and how foreign policy and defense played a role during their Presidency. You'll want to utilize terminology from our text, and apply it to what you read about the President. You can pick a specific event, or just discuss it in broader terms, you'll want to be clear and concise with your example.
