Synthesising means evaluating a number of different sources within the same paragraph or paragraphs.

• you will need to incorporate the summary of the 5 articles
• Identify linkages between these 5 articles by comparing and contrasting them, evaluating them and critiquing them (this is synthesis).
• Remember that you are synthesising articles (source materials) that are related to the title for the research area “The Determinants of Job Satisfaction on Employee Performance in the Banking Sector”
• You will be assessed in a number of ways (a) organisation and structure of the literature review (b) appropriate use of citations and references (c) the number or “relevant” sources you cite (d) your use of academic English and (e) the effectiveness of your summarisation (review) and synthesisation (critique) skills

This final section will summarise the key findings and observations that your literature review has covered, reviewed and critiqued; summarised and synthesised.
