Education in the United States has been hotly debated in almost every state and federal election. People continue to debate about the effectiveness of President George W. Bush's 'No Child Left Behind," the Gl Bill, and how to deal with the inequalities among U.S. public schools. But who should be creating laws and governing education - the local, state, or federal governments? What does the text tell us about the powers the Constitution gives to the state and federal governments?
What are some of the advantages of national and local governments working effectively on problems like education? What are the disadvantages?
