1. The five elements that make up the introduction --> Hook (optional), sufficient contextualising information, definitions (optional), rationale and thesis statement.

2. Body paragraphs have topic sentences, evidence, evaluation and linking sentence at the end of the paragraph (x multiple paragraphs). Please note: you should not have just three body paragraphs, you can have as many as is sufficient. Do not write lengthy paragraphs, but organise your ideas, evidences and evaluations into paragraphs that are well-supported and readable. (Hint: Something around 10-14 sentences).

3. Conclusions have five elements too: Summary and reference to research, reference to research and findings, limitations and a concluding device: recommendation, solution or prediction.

You may want to structure your essay according to one of the many structures such as: definition-type, descriptive-type, problem-solution type, cause and effect type, argumentative type, compare and contast type, exemplification type or process type essays.
