Article "The Lifelong Learning of Inmates" by Clint Smith for presentation

1) Explain the Exigence, Audience, and Constraints of the article.

2) Describe and explain the Discourse Community featured in the article. 

3) Evaluate the Discourse Community as it is described. What are its successes and what are its weaknesses? Would you want to be a part of this Discourse Community? Why or why not? 

4) Evaluate the article. What argument, explicit or implicit, is the writer making about the Discourse Community? Do you agree? Why or why not?

5) Create three discussion questions to pose to the class based on your article. You can also incorporate an activity to further engage the class with your presentation. 

6) Finally, incorporate at least one visual element into your presentation to demonstrate and further support any of the five requirements detailed above.
