A Response Paper on Charles Chesnutt’s “The Wife of His Youth”

We will be writing a response paper on Charles Chesnutt’s “The Wife of His Youth” , and point out similarities and differences in how "passing" is presented by Chessnut and Chopin in her short story, "Desiree's Baby."

Remember: a typical response paper includes a brief description of what you read, an interpretation of something important about it, and an important observation that you gleaned about human nature, the human condition, or yourself as a result of the reading. Your paper should be about two pages, double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides of the page. Quotations must be attributed correctly in MLA style.
